Immunization Coalitions Working In Your Community
Several areas in Virginia have local immunization coalitions that work to increase immunizations in their communities. Some focus on one topic such as influenza while others work to promote vaccines for all.
Augusta Flu Crew
The staff of the Central Shenandoah Health District and the Augusta Medical Center work together to offer the communities of Waynesboro, Staunton, Harrisonburg and surrounding areas education about influenza and access to influenza vaccine.

Consortium for Infant and Child Health (CINCH)
CINCH is a community partnership to promote health and prevent disease among all children in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Started in 1993 to improve childhood immunization rates, CINCH now includes seven Work Groups that address many child health issues such as asthma, obesity prevention, injury prevention, health disparities, special healthcare needs, health insurance and immunizations.
The Immunization Work Group meets monthly with the goal of improving the knowledge and practices of health care providers to eliminate barriers that contribute to under-immunization.
